We blessed Emree on October 9th, 2011 when she was 3 months old. We decided to do it at our house after church. Brother Merrill, (My friend Jenna's dad) very sweetly came to the house for the bishopric and conducted for us. He was so kind and we liked having someone we knew. Drake gave such a beautiful blessing! Its so special to hear how much a daddy loves his daughter! Emree surprisingly was perfect through the whole thing. She didn't nap hardly at all that day, but still stayed calm and quiet. It was such a special day, and I'm thankful to all of the family that helped us put it together and all of those that were able to come. We love you. When I was looking through all the pictures I realized that there was over 300 taken that day! Crazy I know, but a common occurance in our house. I tried to pick a few of my favorites. I just love this little sweetie!
My sweet little family I really wanted her dress to be special, so I asked my mom to help me make one. She is an amazing sewer and I ended up watching her more than helping. Thank you mom for all the time spent! She hand stiched the inside in ways I didn't know was possible so it would be soft and comfortable for Em. The blanket is one my Grandma Siddoway made that is beautiful. She made one for all the grandkids and they come with booties, a sweater, and a hat. It's so special to have them from her. The little booties that she wore (pictured below) are 51 years old.My Grandma Griffeth was friends with Ezra Taft Benson's sister in law and she made these shoes to bless my mom in. I was also blessed in them in 1985. They were so cute on her.
The Siddoways. Mom, Kyle, Avery, Avah, Bryson, Jaymin, and Dad
The Atwoods-Roger,Nancy and Heidi. Drake's brothers Brock, Jason and his son Chase left before we took pictures.
My siblings and sweet little niece Avah.
I love you Aves. So happy you could come! Siddoways and Griffeths. I LOVED that all 4 of my grandparents could make it. They are all so special to me.
I couldn't believe how fast it was time to make another onesie. Wasn't I just saying, "I can't believe you are 2 months already." I swear that was just a day or so ago, and now 3 months is here. I get anxiety about her growing up or this sweet little baby not being my baby for very long, but then each new little thing she starts doing is so fun! Emree is a very active little girl. She does not like to nap or lay on her back. She LOVES to stand up and will grab our hands and pull herself up. It's so cute to see how happy she gets. She is getting such a cute little personality and wants to be part of the party all day long. I feel really lucky to have my little sweetie and I'm just soaking in this special time.
We spend a lot of time outdoors in September. Emree was broken in to the Atwood way of life for the month. It's like Christmas to them all. I'm so happy to be a part of the tradition because I have loved being outdoors so much these last several years. The last 4 hunting seasons I have been out there with Drake quite a bit. It's not like the killing of animals is what gets me out there, but the opportunity to be so close to them is amazing. Plus a long hike is a great workout! This year was very different! Em and I spent a lot of time at camp watching chick flicks and having girls nights while the family was out hunting. She does so good being outside and sleeping in our "Crappy Camper." It's so cute to have the other bed(table) pulled out for her. It's so cozy and Drake and I LOVED having her as an addition to our fall tradition. I just love me little sweetie! She is my constant companion and it would be strange now to not have her by my side all the time. Our parents offered to babysit, but it's hard to want to leave our little one. I wanted to add some of my favorite pictures of the month for my memory. Camo is a staple during September so some of those shower gifts were put to use for Emers. I HAVE to have a pink bow on her everytime though, she can't be too boyish. My friend Candee found this hat and mittens on our shopping trip to Utah while I was still pregnant. A little big still but so cute. She kept looking at me like what are you doing to me. She loves being outside. When she is being grumpy sometimes we will just walk outside a bit to help calm her down. I hope it lasts because I don't like how kids are inside so much now-a-days watching TV. I started trying to teach myself to crochet in August so I could make her some beanies. These were my first attempts. Drake calls them her helmets because they are a little funny shaped.
Emree LOVES her elephant! This cute little thing came with a blanket my aunt Cindy gave me. I gave it to Emree one day just to see how she liked it and she was hooked. Since about day one she HAS to have my hair in her hands or one of us holding her hands. It instantly calms her down. Now she will snuggle the elephant, (relieving my hair thank goodness) and go to sleep without a fist full of my hair. It's so cute to see her snuggled up so cozy.
